i don't play - but let me guess... putting strokes are not strong enough for the putter to end up in water accidentally by not gripping them well enough, so i reckon this is about putters being violently thrown into a lake by irate golfers who've just missed an easy birdie chance - ??
i don't play as well..but I had my fair share at golf by being a caddie....
To date, I haven't seen anyone throwing putters into lakes!
