Ironic considering my recent bout of unhealthness (new word I just made up) - this article was sent by "Mohan the Great"

Hey Simon,
I've found that daily doseages of 1-2000mgs of Vitamin C as a minimum keep flu's and cold's at bay. In fact I have only had one cold in the past 6 or 7 years ( the first week of this year ).
During intense training (15-25 hours weekly ) I increase my VitC doseages to 3-6000mg's daily.
After long sessions I usually pop 2x1000mg's immediately with recovery drink. Additionally , after IM's or Marathon's , I will ensure that I am getting roughly 4-6000mg's in the days following.
A trick taught to me by my former coach.
Diluted Lemon juice (4-5tbsp) in a 1.5L water bottle as a constant companion does wonders as well. Loaded full of Vitamin C and provides sufficient electrolytes to maintain optimum sodium levels in the gut , so you are in a constant state of being optimally hydrated and the immune system is working at it's maximum.
Hope you find theis helpful Simon :)
Cheers,
Terry
I take 1000mg of Vitamin C every day and more fruit than you can shake a stick at. Nothing like the number's you're talking about though. I shall do as you suggest and see where we go with it.
The diluted lemonjuice though surely doesn't contain any sodium does it? Or do you add exta?
Cheers
Simon
